March Madness!!

So last night, my husband told me that I have to fill out a March Madness bracket. I had so much homework and I didn't think I'd have time! But he pulled it up for me and I quickly filled it out... based on the numbers they had and I don't even know the schools that well! But he reminded me how I felt last year when I kicked his butt in this game! So then I agreed :) We'll see how it goes this year! 

Despicable Me

My husband and I watched this movie the other day and it is SO good! It was the first movie that I had watched right after my mission and it was exactly what I needed! It doesn't have too much that is really far from what I had been exposed to on the mission. I love the little yellow guys! I don't even know what they're called.. but I do love them! The girls in the movie are also super cute! Great movie!

Parenthood

The other day, my husband and I started a new TV show called Parenthood. I had heard about it in class and I had never seen it.We're having a baby in July, so I figured maybe it'll help prepare us to be parents! We've only watched about 2 episodes, but it seems to be really good! I'm excited to continue watching it and learning more about crazy parenthood!!

Bachelor is over!

The Bachelor is over everyone. It was so good and I LOVE the way it ended and who he chose to propose to! I don't want to ruin it for anyone that has been watching it late.. so I won't mention who it is. But it really was so good! Now what do I watch?!?

Lost is over...

So yesterday my husband and I finished Lost!! FINALLY!! We have taken forever to finish these 6 seasons! The last little bit of Lost was a little confusing and not very satisfying. Although, I did like that all of my questions were answered! But it ended very different from how I would have ever imagined! I won't spill about how it ends but watch Lost if you haven't yet! It was a great series! And now we get to finish Friday Night Lights :)

Star Wars for the first time!

So this past week, my husband decided to borrow the Star Wars series from some neighbors in our ward. So far we have watched the first 2 movies that are from years ago. This is my first time ever watching the series! I had only seen Episode 1 before, which is horrible!! After that I haven't had any desires to see anymore! My husband would tell me how good these movies are.. all except for Episode 1. So I decided I will try to watch these movies with him and we'll see how I like them. The first 2 movies so far have been pretty good! It's pretty old, but for being a movie all the way back then, it was pretty impressive! A lot better than Episode 1! So that has been my recent media that I've been involved in.

Friday Night Lights

So.. my husband and I are about to finish the last season of Lost... FINALLY! 6 seasons is a lot!! We have 3 episodes left. And then I'm going to go back to Friday Night Lights and finishing that! Back in the summer we were watching both shows. When school started, it just was too difficult to have 2 TV shows we were watching! We were on season 3 of Friday Night Lights and so I will just go right back to where we were. It's a great show and it helps me remember my family and relate to them since I have 4 brothers who all LOVE football! It also helps me to know how I need to raise my future children! The parents in the movie are great parents and handle all the situations very well! 

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

When I was growing up as a teenager, my friends and I decided to read the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants books. I ended up loving this book! As we read it individually, we were all closer as friends, and when the movie came out, it brought us even closer. We would always want a pair of pants that we can all fit in and a boyfriend like Lena's boy from Greece. But this book definitely was my favorite as I was growing up. I didn't read that much because I didn't have time, but when we read these books, they really helped us grow closer as a girlfriend group! 

The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games is my favorite book... it is just so good! I haven't even read too many books because when I was growing up I didn't really have time or I would get bored as I was reading. But since I started college, I have learned to love to read! Especially in the summers because during the school year I still don't really have time to read whatever book I want. But last summer, the summer after my mission, I read all of the Hunger Games books and I loved them! I couldn't even put them down! The characters are great and it really explains the whole story. I really grew to love Katniss, the main character and her life story was so interesting to me! It was very different from the lifestyle I've grown up in, but that's probably why it was so interesting! I won't tell the story of the book in case some haven't read it, but if you haven't read it, make sure you do!! 

The Superbowl!!!

The superbowl this year was pretty good!! It was a very close game! However, my family really likes the 49ers and so that's who we were cheering for. But the Ravens did play very well and beat the 49ers. I just had fun at my husband's brother's house where there were lots of us gathered together to watch it and we all brought some food and had a little party! :) It was a lot of fun! 

 

The Bachelor

The Bachelor this week was really good! The first day in Montana ended up being pretty difficult for Sean. However, the second day in Canada went really well! I won't tell you who stays or who goes because I don't want to ruin it for you, but I was pretty happy with those that stayed. The only thing I can't understand about The Bachelor is how the girls handle it. He kisses them all every day pretty much and that would just be so hard!! I would have a really hard time falling for someone who is not only dating me, but lots of other girls as well! But other than that.. it's a great show! :)

 

This is one of the girls that is still on The Bachelor.. Leslie! She is super cute and very real. I like her a lot and I hope she stays for awhile longer!! 

The Phantom of the Opera

This past week, I went with my husband to see a play on-campus at BYU called The Phantom of the Opera. I had seen the movie once, but this was going to be my first play ever! During the performance, I just sat in awe. The characters were great and their voices were amazing! The songs were very beautiful and I found myself tearing up quite a few times... probably because I'm pregnant, but either way! Afterwards I just couldn't believe how good it had been! So much better than the movie!! I now have the desire to go see more plays whenever we get the chance!!

Lost

Lost is another one of my favorite TV shows. My husband, Tommy, and I started watching it I think at the end of the summer and we are getting really close to being done with the last seasons. It starts out with a bunch of people being on an airplane to go to LA from Australia. The plane crashes on a random island and all of the people have to work together to live. I really enjoy this TV show because there is some drama and it always leaves me hanging with cliff-hangers to want to watch the next episode to find out what is going to happen. It's very good and I would recommend it to anyone! 

Friends TV Show

Friends is one of my favorite TV shows ever! Each character is so funny and every episode makes me laugh pretty hard! It takes place in New York where the girls live together in an apartment and the boys live together in an apartment for most of the TV show. My favorite characters are Phoebe and Joey. But I truly do love all of the characters! Phoebe and Joey are just the funniest I think. Joey is not very smart but a huge womanizer that it makes it hilarious. Phoebe just is so funny. I love when she sings and plays her guitar... her songs are so funny! If you haven't watched Friends much, I definitely advise you to watch it! You will love it!
